The Historical Construction Equipment Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the history of construction equipment, is hosting its 27th annual International Convention and Old Equipment Exposition, Sept. 14-16 at the National Construction Equipment Museum in Bowling Green, Ohio.
The show features demonstrations and displays of horse-drawn, steam, gas- and diesel-powered antique construction machinery, cable and hydraulic shovels and cranes, hit-and-miss engines, antique trucks and tractors and more. This year’s event will include the annual convention of the Antique Caterpillar Machinery Owners’ Club, and will feature numerous restored Caterpillar machines. Equipment from the museum’s collection of more than 90 pieces will also be demonstrated, including the 1926 Marion 21 electric shovel and 1950s Cat DW20 motor scraper.
The show is open to the general public for a fee of $7 daily, $15 for a weekend pass for persons 12 and older.
