Park Ridge, N.J.-based Hertz Equipment Rental Corp. last week celebrated the grand opening of its new Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, general rental facility. The event showcased the new 5,000-square-foot facility and its product line, which includes small tools, equipment and contractors’ supplies.
The company also announced it will celebrate the grand opening of its new Midland, Texas, facility on Friday, June 22. The event will take place at the store between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and will showcase the facility’s 2,400-square-foot showroom, 9,000-square-foot warehouse, and product line, which includes small tools, equipment and contractors’ supplies.
HERC also announced plans to re-open its Macon, Ga., general rental facility on Thursday, June 21. The renovated HERC Macon facility comprises a 9,080-square-foot showroom, four heavy equipment bays and office space on a five-acre lot.
The openings are part of the company’s general rental program expansion, which HERC began in 2003 in support of its commitment to increase services and products for small, medium and large contractors as well as homeowners. The company added 24 general rental locations in 2006 as part of its planned expansion in that line of equipment rental and currently has 115 general rental locations throughout the United States and Canada.
HERC’s general rental locations offer a broad range of general rental products, including roto-tillers, floor sanders and buffers, trenchers, paint sprayers, ladders, pumps and scaffolding. The locations also offers a wide assortment of construction and industrial equipment from manufacturers such as Case, Genie, Ingersoll-Rand, JLG, John Deere, Wacker and Stihl.
A wholly owned subsidiary of The Hertz Corp., HERC is No. 4 on the RER 100 with more than 275 locations in the U.S. and Canada, and an additional 85 locations in France and Spain.
