H&E Equipment Services has consolidated its Baton Rouge and Gonzales, La., branch operations into a newly constructed facility in Baton Rouge. The new branch is much larger than the original stores, with 44,000 square feet of office and shop space, on 15 acres of property. New, used and rental equipment inventories have been expanded. The new building has 18 service bays and a 9,200-square-foot parts warehouse.
The Baton Rouge facility is one of H&E’s nine full-service branch facilities in Louisiana, specializing in rentals, sales, parts, service and training for earthmoving equipment, cranes, aerial work platforms, and general construction equipment. In Louisiana, H&E is the authorized dealer for Komatsu, Manitowoc, Grove, Manitex, JLG, Genie, Wirtgen, Takeuchi, Gomaco and more.
“Due to growth, and the close proximity of both stores, it makes a lot of operational sense to combine these two locations into one operation,” said Jeff Stringer, H&E’s Baton Rouge branch manager. “The efficiencies we gain will help improve customer service, expand our product support and service capabilities, grow our rental fleet, and help ensure success for our next 50 years.”
Based in Baton Rouge, H&E Equipment Services is No. 11 on the RER 100.
