Chico, Calif.-based Guy Rents last week sold its party rental division Guy Rents Events to Redding Tents & Events. Merger and acquisitions firm Hageman, Stansberry & Associates represented Guy Rents in the transaction.

“After five years of building Guy Rents Events, mainly through acquisitions, we made the decision to focus solely on our tool and equipment rental business going forward,” said Guy Rents president Alex DuBose. “Our roots and our strengths are in the equipment rental segment of the industry and we look forward to putting all of our focus into that area.”

Guy Rents also has a branch in Redding, Calif.

Redding Tents & Events is owned by Robbie Clearie, who also owns a leading catering company in Redding.

Hageman, Stansberry & Associates is a merger and acquisitions specialist with offices in Arlington, Texas, and Cameron Park, Calif.
