FTG Equipment Solutions was named the exclusive United States distributor for Rotair portable diesel and electric stationary air compressors, effective June 1. Rotair Spa has been a leading European manufacturer of air compressors for construction and industrial markets, including diesel towable, electric stationary and gasoline portable models, as well as other related equipment.
“We are pleased to announce the appointment of FTG Equipment Solutions Inc. as Rotair’s exclusive distributor for portable diesel and stationary electric air compressors in the U.S.,” said Giuseppe Donadio, the company’s managing director. “FTG partners, chairman Scott Wistar and president Ron Johnson, bring to the table almost 70 total years of successful experience in retail and wholesale distribution and rental of construction and industrial equipment. We are totally committed to the U.S. market and we see success as our only option.”
Based in Caraglio, Italy, Rotair produces a wide range of diesel portables from 40 to 900 cfm with new and larger models on the way. FTG will distribute the full range of Rotair portables, including several high-pressure models, and specialty air for the oil industry, marine agriculture and other unique applications. However, FTG’s main focus will be the U.S. construction and industrial markets, with a heavy emphasis on rental.
FTG will sell only through established dealers, rental companies and selected national accounts.

Rotair compressors are rotary screw design and offer features such as Kubota, Perkins and Cummins diesel engines on the most popular models, automatic load and unload, automatic glow plug ignition, advanced double filtration systems and torsion suspension. They are also backed by a five-year, unlimited hour, air-end warranty.
