Equipment Depot of Louisville has moved out of its tornado-ravaged building to a newer and improved facility adjacent to the Louisville, Ky., airport, according to Equipment Depot’s website. The new efficient is more efficient, providing a better workspace for mechanics and other staff.
The Louisville branch, formerly known as Levee Lift, celebrated its 25-year anniversary at its previous location this year. However, a massive tornado damaged the facility in June 2011, making it more sensible for the company to find a facility that would better fit its future needs rather than rebuild. Also the University of Louisville, located next to the location, was interested in the property.
“The university was very interested in the property for expansion purposes,” said Jeremy Smith, operations manager for Equipment Depot of Louisville. “There were a lot of memories created at the old branch, but the move is beneficial for everyone. Our team here is extremely excited about the move and helping customers in the new facility.”
Equipment Depot, based in Houston, is No. 23 on the RER 100.
