WICHITA, Kan. — Western Kansas Caterpillar dealer Foley Equipment will acquire Topeka, Kan.-based Martin Tractor for an undisclosed sale price. The transaction was expected to close Nov. 2. The operations of Martin Tractor, also a Caterpillar dealer, including Martin Tractor, Martin Rents and Martin Farm Power, will be integrated into Foley Equipment.
The acquisition will give Wichita-based Foley 18 locations, serving all but six Kansas counties — one county in southeast Kansas and five counties surrounding Kansas City. In addition to Foley Equipment, Foley operates Foley Rental and Foley Rebuild Center.
Foley Industries president Ann Konecny said consolidation between the two companies was “a natural evolution.”
Martin has been in business since 1911 while Foley began doing business in the early 1940s. Foley has full-service facilities in Wichita, Dodge City and Salina with rental centers in Wichita, Great Bend and Park City.
