Clare Instruments Offers Electrical Safety Booklet for Rental

Tampa, Fla.-based Clare Instruments, a division of The Seaward Group, a supplier of safety test instruments, recently announced the release of a complimentary electrical safety testing booklet for professionals in the rental equipment industry. Designed to serve as an educational resource, this booklet illustrates some of the key dangers of electricity, highlights legal responsibilities and provides guidance on the safe operation and servicing of rented electrical equipment.

“United States rental companies have a legal responsibility to take all reasonable steps to ensure that their electrical equipment is without risk to the health of the operating personnel and all personnel affected by the equipment’s operation,” said Rod Taylor, managing director of the Seaward Group. “This pamphlet provides vital information for rental equipment industry professionals to help them ensure that they are providing their customers with the highest level of safety.”

Spanning eight pages and featuring a variety of testing equipment images, the booklet includes detailed information about protection against electrical shock and tips for successful inspections of various types of equipment. It also outlines suggested in-service testing and safety checks for equipment, including equipment that has already sustained repair or maintenance.
The brochure also includes information about how rental industry professionals can provide accurate record keeping in order to properly document every inspection and test performed on each piece of rental equipment.

Clare Instruments offers a range of test instruments to ensure the electrical safety of any product or appliance from design, compliance and manufacturing stages to servicing repair and calibration. For information visit www.clareinstruments.com.
