Doosan Group is looking for mergers and acquisitions to expedite its growth and diversify revenue streams, new chairman Park Yong-mann told a news conference in Seoul this week, according to Korean news reports. Park said the company had identified several acquisition targets but that no deals are imminent.
Park has managed 17 m&a deals since 1998, including the acquisition of Bobcat in 2007. Park said he wants to grow the company into one of the world’s 200 largest corporations. Doosan was ranked 488 in the 2011 Fortune 500.
