John Deere Reman – Springfield finalized plans recently to expand operations by constructing a new facility in Strafford, Mo., creating 55 new jobs in five years with $14 million in new capital investment in the area, the company said. The 275,000-square-foot facility in the new Strafford Industrial Park will serve as the central core processing and storage location serving John Deere dealers in the United States.

John Deere Reman – Springfield currently remanufactures equipment components at a plant in northeast Springfield, Mo., which will continue to operate.

“This additional facility will enable the growth of John Deere’s remanufacturing business,” said Dan Flatau, general manager of JDR. “Remanufacturing is a proven process for recycling components into like-new parts for a highly desirable customer repair solution.”

JDR-Springfield is a subsidiary of Deere & Co., founded in 1998 through a joint venture with Springfield Remanufacturing Corp.
