EDMONTON, Alberta — Canadian Equipment Rental Fund, a rental company doing business as 4-Way Equipment Rentals, based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, posted a 114-percent third-quarter revenue increase and a 77-percent increase for the first nine months of 2011. A large part of the increase was the revenue from a waste-management company CERF acquired, however equipment rental revenue jumped a solid 16.3 percent from CDN $2.16 million in the third quarter of 2010 to CDN $2.51 million (about U.S. $2.42 million).
For the first nine months of 2011, equipment rental revenue soared 19.8 percent from CDN $6.68 million last year to CDN $8 million this year.
“The increased activity that started in late 2010 in the construction, housing and infrastructure sectors continued throughout 2011,” said president and general partner Wayne Wadley. “We see that trend continuing for the foreseeable future. We continue to work on the integration strategies of our three operating companies as each organization becomes more familiar with the strengths and expertise of their respective sister companies and how they can use those strengths to better service and supply our customers.”
