Birch Equipment employees recently participated in a series of events to support the Burned Children’s Recovery Foundation. Events included a night of comedy with Ryan Stiles and Friends, the Ryan Stiles Celebrity Golf Classic, and a celebrity gala and auction at Silver Reef Casino in Ferndale, Wash., where celebrities including former NBA player Detlef Schrempf and actors Shooter McGavin and Jack McGee were in attendance.
“As a former fire fighter, it was an easy decision to participate in the Ryan Stiles Celebrity Golf Classic,” said McGee. “It’s a nice way to give back, and I wanted to support Ryan’s efforts.” McGee joined the Birch crew for Saturday’s silent auction and dinner.
Started in 1989, the Burned Children Recovery Foundation helps burn survivors of all ages to live happy and full lives. The foundation holds a summer camp for young burn victims that lets them enjoy being kids without worrying about how they look. The foundation also gives victims and their families the tools to handle the social and psychological effects of being burned.
