Westminster, Colo.-based equipment and party rental businesses, Area Rent-Alls and Area Party & Costumes, this month celebrated 50 years in business, OurWestminsterNews.com reported. Originally named S&K United Rentals, the business was owned by Ronald and Dorothy Kiely and Loren and Velda Stark, the parents and grandparents, respectively, of current owner Linda Jones.
Jones began working various jobs at the rental business when she was 11 years old, continuing to open and close the store and handle bookkeeping while she went to college. In 1986, Jones bought the business and opened a small Halloween shop in the back. By 1994, the addition had grown dramatically and Jones bought space next door to open Area Party & Costumes.
Area Rent-Alls offers tools, air compressors, mini-excavators and lawn and garden equipment to homeowner and contractor customers.
