Amerine Joins SmartEquip Executive Team

Norwalk, Conn.-based SmartEquip last week announced that Randall Amerine has joined its executive management team as senior vice president of sales and marketing. Amerine's career includes more than 30 years of executive experience leading business development efforts for startups and industry leaders in the commercial transportation and equipment markets.

Recent appointments include management positions at LoJack Supply Chain Integrity and at Qualcomm Wireless Business Solutions, two positions that earned him industry recognition for leading the marketing of technology solutions in equipment-based industries. Amerine has also held positions at a wholly owned subsidiary of Caterpillar Venture Capital, Ryder System, Shell Fleet Services, and at RDO Equipment Co., a leading John Deere dealership where he served as vice president of strategic planning and product support as well as executive vice president of their truck dealership division. He began his career as a product support representative at Caterpillar.

"It is a privilege to welcome someone of Randy's caliber to our organization," said Alexander Schuessler, SmartEquip's chairman and CEO. "Over the past year our company has seen a dramatic growth in sales due to the industry's need for lean solutions and efficiency during these challenging economic times. More than ever we take very seriously our steadfast commitment to stand in partnership with our customers as we face their challenges with them. Randy's background and experience qualify him as a tremendous leader to that mission."
