Allen Engineering Corp. has entered into an agreement to acquire the Miller Power Buggy line from the Miller Spreader Co., based in Youngstown, Ohio. The acquisition is expected to be finalized before the end of 2010.
“This acquisition of the Miller Power Buggy line is an excellent opportunity for AEC to apply our design, engineering, and manufacturing capabilities to an already outstanding line of material handling equipment,” said Allen. “The whole team at Allen Engineering looks forward to working with Miller Buggy’s employees, dealers and rental centers, end-user customers, and suppliers to further grow and expand this excellent line of equipment.”
Once the acquisition is complete, AEC will begin manufacturing both the walk-behind and ride-on Miller Power Buggies in its factory in Paragould, Ark., along with the Allen Concrete Equipment and Allen Concrete Pavers brands. AEC intends to display the power buggies at World of Concrete and The Rental Show in Las Vegas this winter.
