Aggreko last weekend supplied generators and air conditioning equipment for the New York edition of the Red Bull Air Race. This is the seventh time that Aggreko has been chosen to be part of this world championship series — most recently in Windsor, Canada, earlier this month, and in Rio de Janeiro in May. The New York edition of the event took place along the Hudson River and culminated in Jersey City, N.J.
"The strength of the Aggreko network worldwide is a huge advantage when supporting world class events like this," said George Long, senior event manager for Aggreko Event Services, North America. "With our global partner Kitz Exklusiv, we're proud to play a role in the event that will be seen by millions, both locally and worldwide."
More than 3 MW of power and 240 tons of air conditioning were supplied for the New York event — enough to power and cool 600 medium-sized homes. In addition, eight miles of cable were used to connect the equipment.
