Aggreko Opens Larger Service Center in Edmonton

HOUSTON — Aggreko, the global leader in rental power, temperature control and oil-free compressed air, continued its expansion in western Canada with the opening of a larger, enhanced service center in Edmonton, Alberta. The company opened its first service center in Edmonton in 2007, and is now tripling the size of its local operations to meet high demand. The new 33,000-square-foot facility includes a larger shop for major equipment maintenance, repairs and retrofits. The company has also increased its staff of sales and service personnel.

Aggreko will supply the area with its major rental product lines including: power generators from 30 kW to 1,500 kW; new gas generators, 65 kW to 1,300 kW; temperature-control equipment such as chillers, air conditioners, clean electric heaters and cooling towers; oil-free air compressors, diesel and electric; and refinery-grade heat exchangers.

“Aggreko is committed to maintaining a superior level of local service and support to our valued oil and gas customers in Alberta,” said Dennis Haller, vice president of Aggreko Canada. “We're proud to expand our service center and provide clients with reliable, energy-efficient temporary power solutions that meet their rising demand to get operations online sooner.”

The Edmonton facility will also provide engineering support from Aggreko Process Services, an experienced process engineering team that helps customers improve their processes and operations to enhance bottom-line performance and address environmental concerns. The APS team can design and install projects at short notice.

“The increased demand for our services allows Aggreko to expand our fleet, assist with more local expertise and provide our valued customer base with enhanced offerings such as our new rental natural gas generators.”
