Aggreko Appoints Amicarella Vice President, North Business Unit

Aggreko this week appointed Ana Amicarella to the position of vice president, North Business Unit, Aggreko North America.

Amicarella will be responsible for several regions in the United States, from California to New York, which make up Aggreko’s North Business Unit and will be a member of the Aggreko North American executive team. She will report to George Walker, president, Aggreko North America.

Amicarella comes to Aggreko from GE, where she was general manager of GE Oil & Gas Services for North America. In this position, she ran a business including multiple repair shops, field services, parts, upgrades and long-term contractual agreements for gas, steam and turbo-machinery equipment. She started her career at GE in 1988 as a field engineer, and has served in many professional capacities since. Notably, she was the general manager for Optimization Services for GE Energy, where she ran a global conglomerate of service businesses. Other important positions Amicarella held included general manager of sales operations for GE Energy Services and strategic initiatives general manager for GE Power Systems, among others.

“Ana brings with her an impressive set of leadership capabilities that Aggreko will certainly benefit from including experience in growth, continuous process improvement, strategic planning and team building,” said Walker. “Aggreko demands this level of leadership so I am excited to share Ana’s talents with our company and valued customers.”

Amicarella received a B.S. in electrical engineering from Ohio State University and an MBA from Oakland University. She competed in the 1984 Olympics in synchronized swimming, was an All-American at OSU and ended her 15-year swimming career in 1987 as the top USA collegiate athlete in the sport.

She lives in Houston, and is married with three children.

Aggreko North American, based in Houston, is No. 9 on the RER 100.
