AED Executive Forum to Include Sessions on Rental

The schedule is shaping up for the Associated Equipment Distributors annual AED/INFOR Executive Forum to be held Sept. 6-7 in Chicago.

Sessions will include “Rental and the Dealer’s Business Model” presented by former rental company owner Larry Kaye, veteran of more than 30 years in the construction and rental industries. Currently CEO of Script International, Kaye is a former board member of the American Rental Association.

Also presenting will be Frank Manfredi, a frequent contributor to RER who writes annually on the state and size of the equipment rental industry. Manfredi, president of Manfredi & Associates and publisher of the Machinery Outlook Newsletter, will present on “Tier 4 and Used Equipment Markets of the Future.”

Other speakers will include Edward Sullivan, vice president and chief economist for the Portland Cement Association. Sullivan, who was named by the Chicago Federal Reserve as 2008’s most accurate forecaster among 30 top economists, was one of the first to predict the most recent recession. Sullivan’s economist outlook is one of the most popular sessions annually at the World of Concrete trade show, and he will be offering his economic insight at the Forum.

Also speaking will be David Raso, senior managing director and head of International Strategy and Investments industrial research team. Before joining ISI in 2008, Raso spent eight years at Citigroup as managing director. Paul Lisnek, who anchors “Newsmakers” on CNN Headline News Channel will discuss “2012 Elections and Your Business.” Ed Steenman, Owner of Steenman Associates, will present on digital marketing.

Additional sessions will cover energy markets, new and coming labor laws, and dealer executives’ negotiating skills.
