Trimble Software Enhancements Expand Capabilities for Site Layout Applications
At the World of Concrete in Las Vegas, Trimble announced enhancements to the TrimbleLM80 layout manager and Trimble LM80 desktop office software. The feature-packed solution is designed to allow general contractors and concrete contractors to take even more control of their construction layout. With enhancements to both LM80 layout manager and LM80 desktop, contractors can easily perform layout tasks faster and more efficiently for increased job productivity, the company said.
The Trimble LM80 layout manager is a pocket-sized personal layout tool that lets contractors enter their blueprint, creating a digital replica. It allows users to carry, manage, work with and layout the jobsite blueprint, regardless of the method and instrumentation used in a variety of commercial and residential applications. When attached to a Trimble construction total station, the LM80 allows for increased accuracy, reliability and productivity.
The new version 2.0 features improved measurement techniques that allow contractors to measure lines, as well as define and accurately layout flat or sloping surfaces such as building pads and driveways.
The LM80 desktop is an easy-to-use PC-based office software support tool for use with the LM80 layout manager. The latest 2.00 version is designed to offer as much functionality in the office as the LM80 layout manager provides in the field.
The construction business of Trimble is focused on developing technology and solutions for earthmoving, site preparation, and general, interior and underground construction contractors. Its headquarters are in Sunnyvale, Calif.
