RSC Equipment Rental last week launched an updated used equipment sales website.
Visitors can quickly search for high-quality equipment by type, make, model, year and current location. Information sheets can be prepared for specific units, many with pictures. A separate “Great Deals” section features limited-time opportunities on selected pieces of equipment.
RSC has a young fleet — 34 months on average as of Q109 — supported by a preventive maintenance program 98-percent current on OEM service, making used equipment an attractive option for customers. According to Rouse Asset Services, a Beverly Hills, Calif.-based appraiser of rental and dealer construction equipment, the industry average fleet age is estimated to be 43 months.
“We are extremely pleased with the new section’s functionality and ease-of-use,” said John McVeigh, vice president of product management. “While renting is the preferred choice for many end-users, other customers are looking for well maintained used equipment to buy.”
