Miller Electric Mfg. Co. launched its new online induction heating resource page, www.millerwelds.com/products/induction_heating/, to better educate welders and fabricators on the benefits of induction heating. The site includes detailed induction heating process descriptions, applications with set-up suggestions, case studies, and time-to-temperature calculators for pipe and plate applications.
Induction heating is used for preheating and stress-relieving in the fabrication and construction of steel pipe and plate. It’s also used in coating removal and shrink fitting. Fabricators who visit the site will discover the benefits of using induction heating over traditional heating processes, view creative uses for induction heating, and calculate time-to-temperature savings for typical pipe and plate heating applications using air-cooled and liquid-cooled heating tools.
“The new induction heating resource site meets the needs of fabricators and contractors who asked for more information on how the process works and guidance on how the new Proheat System can be applied to their heating applications,” said Mike Roth, marketing manager, Miller Electric Mfg. Co. “The site contains information for those examining induction technology for the first time, as well as people looking to improve an existing application.”
