Lawson Software announced this week that Netherlands-based Caterpillar dealership Pon Equipment and Pon Power has completed the pilot of its implementation of the Lawson application for Equipment Service Management and Rental.

Pon Equipment and Pon Power is one of Europe’s largest Caterpillar dealerships and service providers, covering Denmark, Norway, Sweden and The Netherlands. Pon supplies its customers with power systems, large, standard and compact equipment from Caterpillar.

The Lawson for ESM&R application helps dealers manage, track and coordinate service for equipment throughout its lifecycle, supporting a dealer’s global supply chains, links back to manufacturers, and has programs for rental as well as sales, finance, service and warranty.

“The purpose of our project is to transform and modernize Pon Equipment and Pon Power’s operating model and business infrastructure in order to drive substantial improvements in business performance,” said David Turner, Pon Cat CEO, who added that the pilot project was successful.
