IronPlanet, www.ironplanet.com, an online marketplace for used heavy equipment, this week announced it has become the exclusive auction site for IRON Search, an online remarketing outlet for agricultural equipment.
Equipment dealers can now move inventory from IRONSearch.com to IronPlanet.com for auction as the result of a newly formed alliance between the two sites. Additionally, equipment to be auctioned at IronPlanet is now searchable on IRONsearch.com.
“We are very excited to offer dealers a seamless transition from IRON Search listings to IronPlanet’s online auctions and the convenience of selling equipment without any undue transportation expense, plus IronPlanet’s exclusive IronClad Assurance resulting in better prices for the dealer’s equipment,” said Jeff Jeter, executive vice president of IronPlanet.
IRON Search subscribers who manage their used inventory and publish equipment listings for sale on the Web using IRON Search will now be able to consign inventory to auction on the IronPlanet auction site. Using IRON Search, dealers can choose which pieces of equipment go to auction and when, resulting in improved inventory turnover rates and reduced handling costs.
