Deere’s NavCom Announces New StarFire GNSS Service

Torrance, Calif.-based NavCom Technology, a wholly owned subsidiary of Deere & Co., announced new improvements for the StarFire Global Satellite-Based Augmentation System. The new service, StarFire GNSS, not only supports GPS + GLONASS corrections but also provides real-time accuracy within five centimeters anywhere in the world, without a local base station.

StarFire GNSS utilizes Deere proprietary algorithms combined with high-precision measurements from Deere’s upgraded global tracking network of multi-frequency, multi-constellation SF-3050 integrated StarFire/RTK GNSS receivers to provide enhanced accuracy and performance anywhere, anytime.

“StarFire GNSS with both GPS and GLONASS corrections provides significantly improved performance and worldwide five-centimeter horizontal accuracy,” said Steve Wilson, NavCom’s GNSS business manager. “The new proprietary processing center software and algorithms combined with an upgraded satellite tracking network provides our customers with the ultimate in performance and reliability.”

StarFire GNSS is available through NavCom’s dealer network. For additional product information, visit NavCom’s website at www.NavComTech.com.

NavCom Technology is a provider of advanced GNSS products for OEMs, VARs and system integrators requiring high-performance RTK systems, global decimeter level GNSS satellite corrections, geodetic quality GNSS receivers, wireless communication products and engineering consulting in the areas of precise positioning, wireless communications and robotics.
