Three Latin American Caterpillar dealers — TRACSA S.A.; Matra Ltd. and NIMAC S.A. — have had the International Business Systems Distribution Financials implemented into their operations.
TRACSA, headquartered in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, has 15 locations throughout Mexico; MATRA is based in San Jose, Costa Rica, and has six additional branches in the country; and NIMAL serves all of Nicaragua from its headquarters in Managua.
IBS Distribution Financials replaced a legacy system that was no longer being supported by Caterpillar. The new software handles purchase and sales payment processes, including those involving multiple currencies.
“We considered several solutions, but IBS was more adapted to our business requirements out-of-the-box than other options,” said TRACSA chief information officer Miguel Romero Arellano.
Founded in 1978, IBS has more than 30 years of experience in distribution industries including automotive, electronics, pharmaceuticals and food and beverage.
IBS is based in Stockholm, Sweden, with Americas headquarters in Folsom, Calif.
