MTA Distributors introduces the Cyclone 3000 evaporative cooling fan from Port-A-Cool. The unit is designed to cool 700 square feet by 15 to 25 degrees F. The integrated 16-gallon water tank allows for operation on various jobsites. The durable, one-piece molded plastic polyethylene housing is designed to resist damage rental after rental.

General Equipment's EP8 portable electric air ventilation blower is designed to supply air around construction sites, remove toxic and noxious gases from sewers and confined areas, detect sewer line leaks, clean tanks and vaults, and cool personnel in utility trenches. Powered by a 1/3-hp single-phase electric motor rated for continuous service, the EP8 operates from either a grounded 110 AC outlet or an appropriate size AC electric generator. A replaceable fuse system is included for component and operator safety.

Wacker Neuson

The Cub 300HD indirect-fired heater from Wacker Neuson offers a cold weather package that allows operation in extreme conditions of -40 degrees C. The Cub 300HD also features a larger fuel tank for 26 to 50 hours of run time depending on full load or using optional remote thermostat. It also includes a stronger undercarriage and a removable center lifting bracket. The unit offers a maximum heat input of 302,000 Btu per hour.

Allmand Bros.

The Maxi-Heat portable heater from Allmand Bros. includes a new fan-motor combination and features an increase in static pressure from 0.5 wg to 1.5 wg. The upgraded Maxi-Heat is able to accommodate up to 110 feet of 16-inch ducting, rather than 40 feet with the previous model. The portable heater features twin heater units that produce a maximum of 1.01 million Btu and can be operated independently, depending on heating requirements. A standard 1,800 rpm liquid-cooled Isuzu diesel engine with regulated generator provides power for the heaters and electrical accessories.

SunStar Heating Products

The compact cylinder-shaped RCH Series spot heaters from SunStar provide on-the-job versatility and each of the four models can heat an enclosed area of up to 2,500 square feet without using fans or moving parts. Available in propane gas or natural gas, the RCH Series spot heaters are rated at 95,000 Btu per hour for propane gas models or at a 100,000 Btu per hour rating for natural gas models. The heaters also come in manual or thermostatically controlled models.
