The tool steel knife mounted on the balanced flywheel combine for a total rotor weight of 40 pounds. The unit chews up to 3-inch limbs at a rate of 10 feet or more per minute. Twenty-four free-swinging reversible hammers turn lawn-and-garden debris into mulch and compost. Four-position baffle discharge and centrifugal clutch for no-load starting are designed to enhance machine user-friendliness.
