JCB

JCB’s Ecomax T4 4.4-liter engine achieves Interim Tier-4 standards, without a diesel particulate filter. It achieves increased fuel consumption through increased back pressure to the engine. Now with an extended range from 74 to 173 hp for a wide range of off-highway equipment, used in power generation, water pumping, crushing and screening, forklifts and the marine sector. With second-generation common rail fuel injection technology, injection pressure has been raised to 2,000 bar and nozzle hole geometry has been refined to provide effective atomization and distribution of fuel within the cylinder. The engines achieve 5- to 10-percent fuel consumption improvement. The structural architecture, componentry and systems will remain the same for Tier 4/Stage 4 Final regulations.
