General Pipe Cleaners' new disposable Cage Cover is a convenient accessory for the Easy Rooter power drain cleaner. The Cage Cover is designed to protect against messy spray while the machine is in use, to keep floors and carpets dry.
Made of heavy gauge vinyl and elastic, the Cage Cover fits snuggly over the Easy Rooter's open cage to keep the mess from the job neatly contained. Available in 12 packs, the Cage Cover can be sold individually. When the machine is returned, the Cage Cover can be removed so the machine can be inspected and cleaned for the next use.
The Easy Rooter is designed to clear 3-inch to 10-inch drain lines clogged with roots and other severe stoppages. Its standard safety features include an air actuated foot pedal, ground fault circuit interrupter and safety slip clutch.
“The Cage Cover presents a solution to a problem that has vexed rental yards for many years,” says Marty Silverman, vice president of marketing for General Pipe Cleaners. “Rental yards want an open caged design on their rental machine so they can see the condition of the cable when it comes back in, but the open cage design presents a problem because it doesn't contain the moisture and the mess of the wet cable. The disposable cage cover solves that problem. It can be slipped on easily to contain the moisture of the machine when it's in use and then be taken off and thrown away and easily replaced with another one.”
