Lightweight Nailer Designed for Comfort, Flexibility
Hitachi Power Tools' new light clipped head framing nailer, the NR90AD, weighs 7 pounds and has the power to fasten engineered lumber. The framing nailer features Selective Actuation, which allows the user to switch from sequential to contact fire with the flip of a switch. The tool-less depth of drive dial adjusts for flush or countersunk drives into varying material. The high carbon steel toenail and nose-mounted vibration pads provide flexibility and dependability.
The NR90AD is designed for comfort and flexibility. From its extended grip and wide range of acceptable fasteners to its two-piece aluminum magazine, everything is end-user defined. The aggressive appearance reflects the new ergonomic design implemented by Hitachi Power Tools.
Brad Miller, product manager for Hitachi Power Tools, says the design of the nailer is based on end-user feedback. “We talked to contractors and end users to find out what they needed,” he says. “When you're holding an 8-pound tool out in front of you, weight is a big concern. One of the important features is that it's exceptionally lightweight — it weighs 7 pounds.”
