Officials of Aggreko, the world leader in the supply of temporary power, temperature control and oil-free compressed air services, last week said its first-half performance has been very strong, and has made progress compared to the first half of 2005. Aggreko’s first half will end June 30.

Aggreko said it has continued the momentum seen in the second half of 2005, with strong growth in both international power projects and local businesses in the Middle East, Singapore and Australia.

In North America, investment in new fleet as well as the strong performance of its sales and service teams has produced significant base-business growth in the first half, with continued margin expansion, the company said. Much of the growth has come from the petro-chemical and oil-refining sectors.

The company added that the initial rollout of its new ERP system is now complete in North America.

Based in Edinborough, Scotland, Aggreko’s North American headquarters is in Houston. It is No. 13 on the RER 100.
