Bobcat Co. officials recently donated nearly $67,000 to the Minn-Kota Chapter of the American Red Cross in Fargo, N.D.

Bobcat North America president Scott Nelson said the funds were raised by dealerships and employees to help with ongoing relief efforts for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. “We wanted to do something to help the victims, some of whom were part of the Bobcat family,” Nelson said.

The company raised $132,000. The remaining funds will go directly to 14 individuals within the Bobcat organization affected by the hurricane. The employees work at four of the Gulf Coast’s hardest hit dealerships: in Lake Charles, La.; New Orleans, Biloxi, Miss.; and Pompano Beach, Fla.
