Volvo Rents Launches Operation Thank You to Support Troops

Volvo Rents, a division of Volvo Construction Equipment has launched Operation Thank You, a program to support coalition troops. Volvo Rents stores across North America are distributing Operation Thank You bags to customers, who are invited to return the bags to the Volvo Rents stores filled with useful, non-perishable items. Store employees will then coordinate donation with charities in their areas that pack and ship care packages to the troops.

Volvo Rents stores across North America are distributing Operation Thank You bags to customers, who are invited to return the bags to the Volvo Rents stores filled with useful, non-perishable items. Store employees will then coordinate donation with charities in their areas that pack and ship care packages to the troops.

Since 2007, Volvo Rents store owners and employees have participated in Operation Gratitude, a national charity that creases care packages for troops overseas. During the past two years, Volvo Rents franchises have collected nearly 12,000 bags for the charity. In 2008, Volvo Rents and the Associated Builders and contractors Association have collaborated to distribute more than 1,500 bags .

“Operation Thank You is a great way for us at home to let the troops know we are thankful for what they are doing for us and our nation,” said Nick Mavrick, marketing executive for Asheville, N.C.-based Volvo Rents.
