Vermeer to Construct Equipment Testing Building at Iowa State University

Vermeer Corp. plans to add more office space and an equipment-testing building in Iowa St. University’s research park in Ames, Iowa.

Vermeer Corp. plans to add more office space and an equipment-testing building in Iowa St. University’s research park in Ames, Iowa, the Des Moines Register reported. Vermeer plans to build the Vermeer Applied Technology Hub in the research park.

The Pella, Iowa-based construction and agricultural equipment manufacturer participated in a ground-breaking ceremony on the $12 million facility recently, along with university officials.

Vermeer recently signed a letter of intent with the university to build the center. The final cost and completion date for the building has not yet been announced. The center will allow Vermeer employees and Iowa State students and faculty to work together on testing and developing Vermeer equipment.
