Makita Teams Up with MLS Kansas City Wizards to Save Lives

With support from local Kansas City Wizards player Kevin Hartman and National Ambassador Diego Gutierrez of MLS Chicago Fire, Makita Industrial Power Tools brought the Team Up for Nets tour to Kansas City, Mo., on June 14.

Makita Team Up for Nets is a multi-pronged approach that includes a $100,000 donation to save 10,000 lives through the Nothing But Nets organization. The focus is on the eradication of malaria through the use of $10 bed nets.

Kansas City Wizards Soccer fans can support Makita Team Up for Nets with a $10 donation in person at the Tour Stop. They can also save a life by purchasing a Makita tool and registering it at www.makitatools.comby June 30. Finally, they can make a direct donation at the Wizards’ Team Up for Nets web page at www.nothingbutnets.net/mlsworks.
