Husqvarna Names Magnus Yngen New Company President

Husqvarna AB last week appointed Magnus Yngen the new president and CEO of the company. He will take office no later than Oct. 1, when current president Bengt Andersson retires.

Husqvarna AB last week appointed Magnus Yngen the new president and CEO of the company. He will take office no later than Oct. 1, when current president Bengt Andersson retires.

Yngen is currently executive vice president of Electrolux and head of the Major Appliances Europe business sector, which has annual sales of approximately SEK 45 billion (about U.S. $7.6 billion). He has held several leading positions in Electrolux since he joined the group in 1995 and has been a member of group management since 2002.

“The board is very pleased to appoint Magnus Yngen as new president,” said Lars Westerberg, chairman of the board of Husqvarna. “He has long experience of consumer businesses, including brand management and a solid technical background. As a member of Electrolux Group Management for several years together with Bengt Andersson, he has already gained some insight and experience regarding Husqvarna’s operations.”

Husqvarna is am leading international producer of lawn mowers, chainsaws and portable petrol-powered garden equipment such as trimmers and blowers. The group is also a world leader in diamond tools and cutting equipment for the construction and stone industries.
