The construction equipment division of Yanmar North America recently increased the warranty to 3 years or 3,000 hours on its line of excavators, loaders and backhoes. This warranty covers all elements of the machinery.

Jack Green, Yanmar’s North American service and warranty manager, said the extended warranty is in keeping with the company’s “value without compromise” philosophy.

“Yanmar is striving to be the No. 1 engine and compact equipment supplier in the world,” Green said. “Everything we do has that mission clearly in focus. Based on internal surveys, we know our equipment in the field has a reputation for durability and reliability that translates to cost savings for our customers. That’s why we stand squarely behind this equipment with such confidence.”

The new warranty does not cover normal maintenance procedures, or wear items such as tires and brakes.

Adairsville, Ga.-based Yanmar is a global manufacturer of diesel engines and diesel-powered equipment for the construction, industrial, agricultural and marine markets.
