Volvo CE North America Appoints Senior Vice President, Operations and Strategy

Asheville, N.C.-based Volvo Construction Equipment North America last week named Tim Frank senior vice president, operations and strategy, for the sales, marketing and product support subsidiary of Volvo Construction Equipment, Brussels, Belgium. In this role, Frank will be responsible for the daily operations and strategic direction of the company with direct responsibility for strategic distribution development, company-owned retail operations, rental channel sales and support, remarketing, and the continued integration of the recently acquired Volvo Road Machinery business line. Frank was the vice president of operations and strategy for the company in North America prior to assuming his new position.

Frank was the vice president of operations and strategy for the company in North America prior to assuming his new position.

Frank began his career in the construction equipment industry as a marketing consultant to Caterpillar Inc., where he provided marketing and marketing leadership consulting services to the company’s managers and executives. In 1998, he was appointed communications manager of Caterpillar’s Latin America region. In 2000, Frank joined Case New Holland Global as director of communications, later assuming various marketing responsibilities in the company’s construction equipment divisions.

In 2003 Frank joined Volvo Construction Equipment North America as vice president of the excavator business line and served as vice president, sales and marketing from 2005 through 2006.
