GREENWICH, Conn. — United Rentals recently announced branch openings in New Braunfels, Lubbock and Corpus Christi, Texas; Phoenix; and Kansas City, Kan.

The new facilities will provide customers with equipment rentals, new and used equipment sales, repair and maintenance services, and a comprehensive line of contractor supplies.

United Rentals cited industrial expansion, economic development and urban development as the reasons for the branch openings. The new general rentals branches carry a broad range of equipment for commercial and industrial construction, renovation and maintenance, including the latest technologies in aerial work platforms.

“Economic development in and around Lubbock is a key part of the Texas economy,” said Louis Womack, district manager for United Rentals. “Agricultural and industrial expansion, particularly within the technology and manufacturing sectors, has helped fuel a strong construction market here. Our customers are involved in that growth, and they rely on us for equipment, supplies and services around the clock.”

The 24,000-square-foot Kansas City, Kan., facility, will provide customers with equipment rentals, sales of new and used equipment, contractor supplies, and traffic control services.

“Kansas City is committed to driving economic development and capital investment,” said Mike Solomon, district manager for United Rentals. “Commercial construction is booming around the Kansas Speedway, and a downtown revitalization is in progress. We are meeting the traffic control needs of our customers in all these areas.”

The new location rents barricades, cones, crash attenuators and other traffic control equipment, installs temporary and permanent signage, and provides pavement-marking services. United Rentals also offers equipment delivery, certified safety and professional operator training, and 24-hour emergency response for customers.
