Terex Construction has given away more than $45,000 worth of ASV compact track loader die-cast toys to Toys for Tots in Minnesota. The toys will be distributed to more than 700 children.

“Donations to ‘Toys for Tots’ were down this year,” said Martha Sammis, Toys for Tots coordinator in Minnesota. “These toys will probably be the only gifts many of these children receive this year, so this generous donation from Terex Construction will make a big difference.”

Terex delivered six pallets of ASV compact track loader die-cast models, approximately 3,000 toys, to the Toys for Tots donation center in Isle, Minn. on Dec. 10. The compact track loader toys were distributed as Christmas gifts to needy children in the local area on Dec. 13.

“Since acquiring ASV Inc. (March 2008), Terex Construction has had a significant presence in Minnesota, and particularly in the local community,” said Lisa Walsh, general manager for the Terex Construction Americas plant in Grand Rapids. “Our Toys for Tots donation this year is just one way that we are able to give back to the community that has welcomed us and supported our business.”

Terex Corp. is a diversified global manufacturer with 2008 net sales of $9.9 billion. Terex operates in four business segments: Terex Aerial Work Platforms, Terex Construction, Terex Cranes and Terex Materials Processing & Mining.
