Scaffold Industry Association Names Training Director

The Scaffold Industry Association, based in Phoenix hired JoAnn Dankert as its new director of continuing education and training. In this capacity, Dankert will develop and enhance both new and existing training programs, oversight of the Accredited Training Institutes, and the introduction of web-based training.

The Scaffold Industry Association, based in Phoenix hired JoAnn Dankert as its new director of continuing education and training. In this capacity, Dankert will develop and enhance both new and existing training programs, oversight of the Accredited Training Institutes, and the introduction of web-based training.

Dankert has an extensive background in occupational safety, having held various safety positions with increasing responsibility in the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries for the past 20 years. Most recently she worked for the National Safety Council as the product development and training manager, and as a senior safety specialist with Rockwell Automation – performing compliance and safety management system audits, as well as instructional design and delivery of safety training.

Since 1972, the Scaffold Industry Association has protected and promoted scaffold and access companies with an emphasis on safety, training and education. The SIA has numerous training programs for both supported and suspended scaffolds, mastclimbers, and aerial work platforms delivered throughout North America via 45 accredited training institutes.
