MQ Power has opened a new 180,000-square-foot facility in Lewisville, Texas, about 20 miles northwest of Dallas.

Additional assembly and modification functions, primarily on the company’s Ultra-Silent Series and Super Silent Series portable generators, are performed at the property to supplement MQ Power’s existing Rancho Dominguez, Calif., and Danville, Ky., operations. The company’s generator trailers will also be assembled at the Lewisville facility.

“In addition to increasing our generator and trailer capabilities, the property allows us to better keep pace with growing customer demand,” said MQ Power vice president David Brown. “This will also lower transportation costs from our various East and Southwest-area suppliers.”

As the new assembly/modification plant integrates additional technologies and resources in the years ahead, generators will also be manufactured on site, Brown said.

MQ Power, based in Rancho Dominguez, Calif., manufactures a full line of self-contained power generators ranging in size from 7 kW to 2 megawatts.
