“We’re thrilled to be working with JCB on this bespoke Motorola DEFY+ device,” said Victoria McManus, U.K. marketing director for Motorola Mobility. “The unique protective sleeve will pull on JCB’s years of expertise in the construction industry to help us reach a new audience who we know are in need of a life and work-proof handset.”

The DEFY+ runs Android v2.3 on a IGHz processor. The unit is water-resistant, scratch resistant and dust-proof, the company said.

The Motorola JCB-branded handset is being sold SIM-free at a retail price of £269.99 (about U.S. $420.)
