JLG Industries last week announced its production plans for providing a full line-up of Cat-branded telehandlers.

JLG Industries last week announced its production plans for providing a full line-up of Cat-branded telehandlers. A Caterpillar Alliance Group team, consisting of JLG and Caterpillar staff in sales, marketing, product support and engineering, has been formed to specifically support the requirements of the Cat-branded telehandlers and the global Caterpillar dealer network.

JLG is reorganizing its manufacturing facilities for production of the Cat-branded telehandler products that will be offered to the North and South American markets by the fall of 2006.

Two Cat telehandler models B-Series machines — the TH220B and TH330B — will be sourced at JLG’s manufacturing facility in Maasmechelen, Belgium, in August. These two models will offer a capacity range of 7,000 pounds and 8,000 pounds, with maximum lift heights of 20 feet and 24 feet respectively.

Four new TL-Series models — the TL642, TL493, TL1055 and TL1255 — will be manufactured at JLG’s McConnellsburg, Pa., plant beginning in October. These models will have a capacity range between 6,600 and 12,000 pounds and maximum lift height ranging from 42 feet to 55 feet.

Under the terms of the 20-year strategic alliance agreement, JLG will provide a full line-up of Cat-branded telehandler products exclusively to Caterpillar dealers. The company will support the North and South American markets from its McConnellsburg facility and the markets in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the rest of the world from its Belgian facility.
