Earth Tool Co. LLC, manufacturer of Hammerhead Mole trenchless products, last week named Payce Reynolds CEO and announced the hiring of former Vermeer Manufacturing officials Jarrett Cowden and Brian Metcalf.

Reynolds previously headed the horizontal directional drilling division of Hammerhead for three years and oversaw substantial growth in sales of the company’s HDD accessories, which, along with the Hammerhead Mole line of pneumatic piercing tools, are sold exclusively by Vermeer’s worldwide dealer network.

Reynolds’ intimate knowledge of the HDD accessories and piercing tool technologies and markets will help continue to foster Earth Tool’s long-term relationship with Vermeer and the Vermeer Dealer distribution network, and continue to grow the market for these products. Also, Reynolds will help expand HammerHead’s success in the pipe rehabilitation market.

Jarrett Cowden was named senior vice president of sales and marketing, and Metcalf comes aboard as vice president of international sales and business development. Cowden has also worked in marketing and sales leadership positions at Exxon, Ditch Witch, Ingersoll Rand and SherrillTree. He was vice president at Vermeer Manufacturing, where he worked with Reynolds.

Metcalf held various global leadership responsibilities in market, sales and distribution management with Vermeer, including more than five years of operations in independent dealerships. Metcalf will be responsible for leading the international sales group and developing new business opportunities worldwide.

HammerHead also hired Steve Sander as regional sales manager for the northwestern territory of North America. Sander, who will be based in Spokane, Wash., has four years experience in the construction market, including two years as a sales rep for a Caterpillar dealership.

HammerHead named Alan Goodman western business manager, responsible for business development, customer relations and overseeing business operations in the western states. The company also named Will LeBlanc south central territory manager.
