Peoria, Ill.-based Caterpillar last week announced that Cat 301.6 and 301.8 undercarriages, including carbody, are now available to other original equipment manufacturers through Caterpillar OEM Solutions Group.

OEMs that produce machines with a gross vehicle weight up to 4,330 pounds are key targets for the new undercarriage offering. Applications such as drills for geothermal installations, stump grinding, small auger drills or small pile drivers are typical of this weight class.

The new undercarriage is assembled at the same facility where larger Cat Undercarriages are built and to the same standards that Caterpillar expects for its end user customers.

As with all undercarriage sales through OEM Solutions Group, an Application Data Sheet is required before a formal proposal and quotation can be prepared. OEM customers can find the Undercarriage ADS at www.cat.com/oemsolutions.
