Case Construction Equipment has received its third consecutive Silver Award for excellence from the Defense Logistics Agency for supplying replacement parts for Case wheel loaders and rough-terrain forklifts used by the U.S. military.

Case received a rating of 99.4 percent in meeting DLA’s combined award criteria of on-time delivery, high-quality products and packaging. The rating reflects the company’s performance in completing 1,337 shipments of parts during 2010 to U.S. military facilities. To qualify for a DLA award, a supplier must record at least 50 product shipments during the year.

“The CNH commercial parts organization played a big role in helping Case receive this recognition,” said Bill Wolfe, Case federal parts sales manager. “Our goal as a government contractor is to have the right part in the right place at the right time.”

Wolfe accepted the Case award during the DLA annual conference, held recently in Columbus, Ohio.

Wolfe noted that Case currently supplies parts for machines the company built or remanufactured during the past 30 years, such as the M4K forklift, MW24C wheel loader and MC1150E crawler dozer.

The Defense Logistics Agency, based at Fort Belvoir, Va., is the Department of Defense's largest logistics combat support agency, providing worldwide logistics support in both peacetime and wartime to the military services as well as several civilian agencies and foreign countries.

Case Construction Equipment, Racine, Wis., sells and supports a full line of construction equipment including loader/backhoes, articulated trucks, excavators, motor graders, wheel loaders, vibratory compaction rollers, crawler dozers, skid steers, compact track loaders, telescopic handlers and rough-terrain forklifts.
