The Association of Equipment Management Professionals this week announced that Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers is the newest member of its Strategic Alliance Partnership program. As a partner, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers will be an integral part of the enhancement of AEMP programs designed to provide professional development and growth for equipment management professionals.

All partners in the alliance are committed to AEMP’s “Equipment Triangle,” the manifestation of higher levels of communication and cooperation between the manufacturer, distributor/service provider and the end‐user, as well as the adherence to AEMP’s Standards of Ethical Conduct.

Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers joins the lineup of AEMP partners, which includes International, John Deere, Caterpillar, Castrol, Volvo, Komatsu, IronPlanet and Trimble.

“Ritchie Bros. embraces the values represented by AEMP and its Equipment Triangle philosophy,” said Rob Blackadar, divisional manager, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers. “We believe this is a great opportunity to be a part of an organization that supports and nurtures mutual trust within the Triangle.

“AEMP’s Standards of Ethical Conduct are also closely aligned with those of Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers. We want to be regarded as a leader, not just in terms of our services, but also as a company and our philosophy, working with all aspects of the equipment management industry.”

AEMP adopted its Standards of Ethical Conduct to promote and maintain the highest levels of equipment and fleet management, and personal conduct among its members. The standards serve to assure public confidence in the integrity of equipment and fleet managers.

Formed in 1980, the Association of Equipment Management Professionals represents fleet professionals working in construction, government, utilities, energy, mining and more. AEMP maintains relationships among manufacturers, users, governmental agencies, educational institutions and others involved in the design and management of heavy equipment.
