Greensboro, N.C.-based Volvo Financial Services North America recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of its new office in Aurora, Ontario.

Greensboro, N.C.-based Volvo Financial Services North America recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of its new office in Aurora, Ontario.

The new facility was opened to support the growth of the company’s Canadian operations, which provide financial services to dealers and customers within the Mack Trucks, Volvo Trucks, Volvo Construction Equipment, Volvo Rents and Prevost bus business segments.

“Our investment in these facilities is a reflection of Volvo Financial Services’ commitment in continuing to provide our Canadian dealers and customers a high level of service and support,” said Martin Weissburg, president and CEO of Volvo Financial Services North America. “We take pride in being part of not only the Volvo Group, but also the growth or vitality of Canadian markets.”

Volvo Financial Services currently has 340 employees throughout North America, 50 of which are based in Canada. Volvo Financial Services North America is the finance arm of the Volvo Group, an international provider of commercial transport solutions. The company provides financial services for the truck, construction equipment, bus, aerospace and marine industries. The primary brands it supports are Volvo Trucks, Volvo Construction Equipment, Mack Trucks, Prevost Bus and Volvo Penta.

In related news, Volvo Financial Services North America last week also announced it will host its annual Financial Services Workshop in Las Vegas Feb. 6-8, 2008. The workshop provides financial service representatives of Mack Trucks, Volvo Trucks and Volvo Construction Equipment dealerships the opportunity to learn about new products, services and other business developments. Attendees also spend time networking with industry counterparts, Volvo Financial Services North America employees, and representatives from Mack, Volvo Trucks North America and Volvo Construction Equipment. More than 200 attendees from the United States and Canada are expected to attend.
